Official Franklin County criminal records must come from the government office that keeps them. Court papers and certificates come from the correct clerk, while sheriff reports and jail booking records begin at the Sheriff's Department. A person's own fingerprint-based New York history comes from DCJS. The contacts below route each type of request without implying that this private site can receive or fulfill it.

Use the office that owns the Franklin County record:

The Sheriff's Department does not advertise a separately named records division, fixed records-counter hours, or a public roster. Use its administration number for report requests and the booking line for present custody. The county's formal route for existing agency records is a targeted request under the New York Freedom of Information Law.
